THE RESILIENT WORKING MUM, Stress Management, Time Management, Boundaries, Work Life Balance, Mom Guilt, Burnout, Resilience, Productivity

Are you a working mom who is stressed out by trying to find time to fit it all in? Do you wish that you could be more present with your children? Desperate for time to think about what you need but don’t ever get there? Financial pressure keeping you stuck in this cycle?

I am thrilled that you are here! This is the podcast for working moms who are juggling it all.

Build your resilience so that you can overcome the overwhelm and be more productive at work and present at home. Learn stress management strategies that will boost your productivity and decrease your stress so that you can balance a job you love and a family you love even more.

Hey, I’m Charlotte - resilience specialist, mum and wife who works because I love my job. I was living the chaotic, distracted life of working a full day, while also managing the emotional and mental load of being a mum - trying to make sure that everyone’s needs were met, while forgetting about my own.

I was tired of feeling the ’mom guilt’ of having a job I love knowing that it took emotional energy away from my family. I finally realised that if I was going to enjoy my work and my journey of motherhood, I needed to set boundaries and make choices that would make me feel more in control, healthier and happier so that I could be the coach and the mum I wanted to be.

I created a resilience plan that fits ME. A way of being that allows me to ride the waves of life with calm, peace and confidence so that I can focus better, be present and enjoy the moment while also finding some me time in amongst the noise. And I am ready to share it with you!

If you’re ready to feel less stressed, be more organised and productive at work so you can be more present and patient at home and in the relationships that are most dear to you, then this podcast is for you!

So, put away your laptop, close the bathroom door and let’s dig in!

For women, and especially working mums, the modern world brings so many new and different expectations and challenges that lead us to this struggle of trying to manage it all, wearing so many different hats at the same time.  This episode looks at a few of the struggles we face as modern women who are working, looking after our homes, making sure all the needs of our children, colleagues and others around us are met, trying to find that elusive work life balance as well as providing everyone with a healthy, happy lifestyle!
While there are many challenges, I also believe that there are ways that we can overcome them and choices that we can make that will enable us to be healthy, feel calm and in control, be organized and get things done and perhaps even have more time (even if it is to have a bath on our own!)

As women, we generally have a negative image of our bodies. We see everything that is wrong with them and this can cause us to feel and think and behave in a negative way. It can cause us to feel stressed, to snap or shout at those around us, to feel out of control and unable to prioritize ourselves.
I love helping women develop a more positive body image. It is not easy after many years of messaging that tells us our bodies are ‘wrong’ but when we can see ourselves in a different way, we find ourselves healthier physically, mentally, emotionally and in our relationships. We feel more confident and at ease and can create healthier habits and a healthier lifestyle. When this is the case, it is easier to find more time for ourselves and we can be more present in our work and with our families.

Do you struggle with conflict in relationships? You might shy away from it or be the one who charges into it. But whichever way you go, it causes stress, frustration and anxiety.
Nicky and Sila Lee, in their pre-marriage and marriage course, offer a great analogy that can be helpful in how we manage conflict in our marriages or in any relationship and this is the focus of our discussion today.
Think about how you can use this analogy in your marriage or any other relationship to manage the conflict better so that you can find more ease and peace and can create a calmer mindset around the concept of conflict.

If you are anything like me, you have endless lists of things that need to get done. And once you tick one task off, another gets added. It is completely overwhelming and stressful and the mental load is huge.
Today’s conversation offers a tool that you can use to help you manage the to-do list a little bit better and can help you set boundaries so that you can focus on the tasks that are a priority and that can only be ticked off the to-do list once they are done.
By doing this, you can better organize your time, be more productive and less distracted and can have more time with your family once its all done!

'What do I want?' is not a question we as working moms ask ourselves very often. It almost feels like it is taboo to think about what we want (especially if it's a bit more time for me!)
And yet, if we are not getting what we want, or perhaps it is more about what we need, then it is going to be a real struggle to get up in the morning and to be all we need to be for everyone else! We are going to struggle to be productive, organized and present where it matters.
I think asking the question ‘What do I want?’ and then going after it is one of the most powerful things you can do. It gives you a point on which to set your compass so that you are always moving forward. It also gives you a point on which you can keep your vision so that you do not end up doing or being where you do not want!
Listen to this episode to get some tips on figuring out what you to do want and then going out to get it, giving you the energy to manage the juggle with more patience, calm and ease.

Are you worried about the impact that being a working mom is having on your children and your family, and in this case, specifically on the relationships within your family?
In this episode, we look at the positive impact that being a working mom can have on the relationships between you and your family based on research and on my own experience.
How can knowing this help you be focused and productive at work so that you can come home and be present with your children, creating that work life balance that we are all striving for?
The book mentioned in this episode is ‘When Mama Goes to Work’ by Marsha Forchuk Skrypuch.

We’ve all heard it said that women/moms can multitask and I think that as a result, we all end up doing it.  Especially when there is so much to get done!
But do you ever find that when you multitask, you actually aren’t as productive as you would like to be or you find yourself snappy and irritable? You find that you actually lose control of the work life balance you are trying to create by multitasking?
Today, we are looking at why mono-tasking, or single tasking, is actually a better way for us to do things and how we can manage do get everything done if we do mono-task!
