THE RESILIENT MUM, Stressed Mom, Time Management, Boundaries, Work Life Balance, Mom Guilt, Burnout, Resilience, Productivity

Are you a working mom who is stressed out by trying to find time to fit it all in? Do you wish that you could be more present with your children? Desperate for time to think about what you need but don’t ever get there? Financial pressure keeping you stuck in this cycle? I am thrilled that you are here! This is the podcast for moms who are managing it all. Build your resilience so that you can overcome the overwhelm and be more productive at work and present at home. Learn healthy habits that will boost your productivity and decrease your stress so that you can balance a job you love and a family you love even more. Hey, I’m Charlotte - wellbeing coach, mum and wife who works because I love my job. I was living the chaotic, distracted life of working a full day, while also managing the emotional and mental load of being a mum - trying to make sure that everyone’s needs were met, while forgetting about my own. I was tired of feeling the ’mom guilt’ of having a job I love knowing that it took emotional energy away from my family. I finally realised that if I was going to enjoy my work and my journey of motherhood, I needed to set boundaries and make choices that would make me feel more in control, healthier and happier so that I could be the coach and the mum I wanted to be. I created a resilience plan that fits ME. A way of being that allows me to ride the waves of life with calm, peace and confidence so that I can focus better, be present and enjoy the moment while also finding some me time in amongst the noise. And I am ready to share it with you! If you’re ready to feel less stressed, be more organised and productive at work so you can be more present and patient at home and in the relationships that are most dear to you, then this podcast is for you! So, put away your laptop, close the bathroom door and let’s dig in!

You are stressed and overwhelmed and just wish you had a moment for yourself.  The to do list goes on and on and you aren't sure when you are going to get it all done.  You snap at the children, want to cry and feel like you are going to break at any moment.
This episode looks at how this state of stress can lead to the fact that we have even less time and how that then perpetuates the cycle as we get more exhausted and feel more panicked and anxious.
But there is a way out! Emotional self-regulation strategies can support you so that you feel more in control and at ease and so that you have the energy to serve others and set boundaries so that you have some time just for you!

At the end of the day, do you find it really hard to close your laptop and stop thinking about the to do list and all the things that you didn’t get done? Do you feel drawn back to it and find yourself working after hours or unable to be present with your family or even yourself?
The overstimulation of all that is required of us during the day can leave us exhausted and on top of this, we find ourselves distracted and with not enough time. This makes it hard to close down at the end of the day and shift our focus to the other roles in our lives.
I have experienced this myself and have many clients who have found this a challenge for them so today, we are talking about some of the reasons we find this so difficult and how you can change your relationship with your work, your laptop and your to do list so you can be present in the other areas of your life and the relationships that you have outside of your working life.

We all long for more time.  Time to do the have tos and time to do the want tos! But it feels like there is never enough of this precious resource and we are running around trying to fit everything in while feeling flustered and exhausted.
Today, I offer three practical ways that you can take back your time so that you can get more done in the day and so that you can feel energized and on top of things.  You can stop feeling that mom guilt that happens when you still have things to do but know that they need you. When the to do list is as long as our arms, it is so easy to jump from task to task, suddenly remembering that something needs to be done or reacting to a request for something from one of the many people who have needs or expectations of us. We are distracted, there isn't enough time to fit everything in and we end up feeling guilty for not working or parenting properly.
When we are overstimulated by all the demands that are coming at us from outside, we carry a hidden stress that is heavy and we end up not having any time for the fun things in life.
The flustered, chaotic feeling that comes from jumping around from task to task is exhausting while the feeling of being in flow and getting things done is hugely invigorating and fills us with energy. In this episode, we look at the things that we can stop doing so that we can find that place of flow, of invigoration and energy that will allow us to be productive and get things done so that we can be present with our work and with our children when we close up our laptops at the end of the day.

On 9 June 2022, my two-year-old daughter was wheeled into theatre to undergo open heart surgery.  As I watched her prepare for the surgery and in the days following this ordeal, I was in awe of how she managed the whole process and it got me thinking about why she was able to do so with such calm and ease and peace.
It made me think about how we could live our lives more like this and so I offer my journey through this process and my learnings from this journey in today’s episode.

Do you find that you never have a chance to do the things that you love?  Or you actually can’t even remember what it was that you used to do that brought you joy? One of the biggest problems I have come across for working moms is finding ‘me-time’ or taking any time for ourselves if the time does come up or is offered to us. We end up out of balance, impatient and frustrated.
What I have learnt is how much better we are as moms, employees, managers and people when we are energised by doing things for ourselves or doing the things that make us happy.  So, today I offer 3 ways that you might be blocked from doing the things that bring you joy and three ways that you can find your way back to those things so that you can feel better.
When you feel better, you can be more organized, can focus better and be more productive and you can find the peace and ease that sometimes feels so hard to experience as a working mom!

Today, I had the great privilege of spending time with Shan Wright who lives in Indiana USA, a working mom of 4 and a registered nurse and wellness coach so we have a little bit in common!
Shan’s passion for holistic healing and wellness grew after her experience with postpartum anxiety. She now shares the solutions she uses for intentional and peaceful motherhood on the Top 3% globally ranked podcast, Holistic Moms.
In today’s episode, Shan tells us a bit about her journey from being a perfectionist with anxiety to finding her calling through her faith and through following God’s truth about her rather than the lies that the world has told her.
If you would like to book a wellness accountability coaching session with Shan, click here: bit.ly/shanwright or follow her on Instagram at @theshanwright or join her Facebook group here: bit.ly/holistichacks.

In this coaching call, Diane was looking for some help with time management. She came to me looking for strategies to shut out the noise and focus on what matters in every time block and each area of her life.
We worked through what isn’t working for her.  She was distracted and found that she wasn't productive when she had the time to be. She developed a plan that she could take away and implement to help her stay disciplined and focused on the task at hand.
See if you can follow along and practice the strategies offered to Diane to help you keep focused and get things done so that you have more time to do the things that bring you joy.
